LIGHT & NEUTRAL ART
LIGHT - NEUTRAL ART
When to use art to lighten and brighten a room:
Using the example shown on this page, you can see how a painting or piece of art that is essentially white/light-colored or very neutral can balance a room.
Above, the dark walls add depth and drama to the room, but the light painting helps keep it from getting too dark and somber. It adds an element of light to the room. The neutral tones and subtle abstract style also keep it softer and more balanced.
Below, the dark furniture is balanced by the light/white artwork, BLUE TANGO.
Dark furniture, dark carpets/rugs, dark walls can all be beautiful and keep a room looking dramatic however they can easily become depressing and too somber if bits of light are not added.
Art can add light to a room without really adding any additional lighting.
You can also consider adding expressive, light-based artworks that invoke the sky or clouds to add light to a room (below shown: MOD BLOOM)
